Loop Video

Loop Video is a free tool that repeats a video clip so it plays several times in one file. Choose how many times to repeat it, from 2 to 100, or how long the result should be, such as at least 60 seconds. For H.264 MP4 videos it copies the original frames and sound without re-encoding, so there's no quality loss and it's done in seconds. It runs in your browser, so your video is never uploaded.

How to Loop a Video

Step by step

  1. Choose a video from your computer or phone.
  2. Pick how many times to play it, or how long the finished video should be.
  3. Click Loop video.
  4. Play the result and download the MP4.

Does looping reduce the quality?

Not for H.264 videos, which includes most MP4 files from phones and cameras. The tool copies the original compressed frames and sound, just with new timestamps, so the result is identical to the original, repeated. Other formats such as WebM are converted to H.264 once, and then repeated.

How do I make a video loop for 1 minute?

Choose "Until it's at least this long" and pick 1 minute. The tool repeats the whole clip as many times as needed to reach at least 60 seconds; it doesn't cut the last repeat short. The summary shows exactly how many times it will play and the final length. To make the clip itself shorter first, use Trim Video.

Why is the file bigger?

A video played three times is three clips' worth of data, so the file is about three times as big. The size estimate updates as you change the setting. If you need a smaller file afterward, use Compress Video. For short animations that should loop forever in chat apps, Video to GIF may suit better.

Does it keep the sound?

Yes. The sound repeats along with the picture. AAC sound is copied without re-encoding. Uncheck "Keep the sound" for a silent loop.

Which browsers does it work in?

It works in current versions of Chrome, Edge and Safari 16.4 or newer, on computers, Android phones, iPhones and iPads. Firefox 130 or newer on a computer usually works too. The tool uses WebCodecs, the browser's built-in video encoder, which is often hardware accelerated. If your browser doesn't support it, the page tells you right away.

Is there a file size limit?

Videos up to 2 GB on a computer and 1 GB on a phone or tablet, and the finished loop must fit in the same limit, because the new file is put together in your browser's memory. The tool tells you before it starts if a loop would be too big.

Is my video uploaded?

No. Your video is read from your device, processed by your browser and saved back to your device. It never touches a server, which also means there's no upload to wait for. See our Privacy Policy.
