Compress Video
Shrink a video to a target size like under 10 MB for Discord or 25 MB for email, or pick a quality level. Saves an MP4.
- Target size presets for Discord and email
- Quality slider with a size estimate
- Before and after file size
Visora's video tools are free tools that compress, trim, crop, resize, rotate, flip and loop videos, or turn a clip into a GIF. They use your browser's built-in video encoder (WebCodecs), so the video is processed on your own device and is never uploaded, and there's no sign-up, watermark or file count limit. Every tool saves a standard H.264 MP4 that plays almost anywhere.

Yes. There's no sign-up, no watermark, no daily limit and no paid tier. Because your own device does the processing, running the tools costs us almost nothing, so we don't need to charge for them.
No. The tools use WebCodecs, the video encoder and decoder built into your browser, to process the file on your device. Your video never touches a server. You can check by opening your browser's developer tools and watching the Network tab while a tool runs. See our Privacy Policy.
Current versions of Chrome, Edge and Safari 16.4 or newer, on computers, Android phones, iPhones and iPads. Firefox 130 or newer on a computer usually works too. If your browser can't encode video, each tool says so as soon as the page loads. Video to GIF works in any modern browser that can play the video.
You can open MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV files with H.264, HEVC, VP8, VP9 or AV1 video, as long as your browser can decode them. iPhone HEVC videos open best in Safari. Every tool saves an MP4 with H.264 video and, in most cases, AAC sound, the most widely playable combination.
Up to 2 GB on a computer and 1 GB on a phone or tablet. The finished video is put together in your browser's memory, so these limits keep the tab from crashing. Longer videos take longer to process, but there's no limit on length.
Yes. AAC sound, which most phones and cameras record, is copied over without re-encoding. Other formats are converted to AAC, or to Opus in browsers that can't encode AAC. Each tool has a "Keep the sound" checkbox if you want a silent video.
